Position: Market Research Sales Manager
Department: Market Research Sales Reports to: VP - Northeast Region Location: Northeast (NY, etc)
Job Description
The e-Rewards Sales Support Executive would be primarily responsible for providing support to e-Rewards Sales Managers and Sales Directors.
•
Successful experience selling and/or executing market research studies
•
Successful consulting industry experience for a well-respected consulting firm
•
Demonstrated ability to help solve client problems
•
Analytical or market research sales or execution background
•
Successful experience with solution/services selling
•
Ability to assist clients/prospects with potential market research questions and objectives
•
Self-motivated personality who feels comfortable with setting and achieving sales goals, and who enjoys selling advantaged market research products/services
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•
Generate market research sales leads by targeting and contacting leading professional services firms, leading companies, and e-Rewards' sponsoring companies
•
Follow up on sales leads generated either individually or from other company executives, corporate inquiries, marketing campaigns, advertisements, networking, etc.
•
Set up meetings and/or conference calls with and selling to targeted prospects
•
Use examples, presentations, case studies and a variety of marketing tools to demonstrate how prospects can benefit
•
Close deals both with and without assistance from other marketing/executive/management team members
•
Effectively track all activities during the sales cycle (e.g. contacts, follow-ups, leads, tests, closes, etc.)
•
Report sales activities and accomplishments to Business Unit and Marketing leadership team on periodic basis and accurately forecast future demand
•
Effectively work with and hand-off "closed" market research clients to research and operations team for survey execution
Education Required
•
College degreed required; MBA or graduate degree preferred
•
Business Consulting or Market Research training preferred (either formal or on-the-job)
Experience/Skill set Preferred:
•
Experience selling market research or consulting services to businesses
•
Experience conducting consulting or market research analysis
•
Consulting or professional services experience
•
Experience selling to professional service firms
•
Experience with solution/services selling
•
Self-motivated personality
•
Goal-oriented
•
Problem-solving skills
•
Experience working with or calling on Managers, Directors, Partners, and VPs of leading companies and professional services firms
